Mon-Fri Day shift
6.30-2.45pm /10.00am - 6.15 pm
Sat-Sun Day shift
6.30 -245
Afternoon shift: 12.15pm -10.30 pm
Night shift: 10.15pm - 6.45 am
Classification: QLD Nurses EBA
About the Role
We are currently seeking a committed Casual Registered Nurse join our Moonyah Recovery Services Centre located at Red Hill, Brisbane
This role is to provide specialised withdrawal management (detox) nursing services, clinical assessments, metal and physical health care , referral for addiction medical assistance as required to people undergoing detox within a safe environment
Key Responsibilities –
- Nursing assessment, support and treatment in line with QLD alcohol and drug withdrawal Practise guidelines
- Support and liaise with visiting medical officers
- Dispense and administer medication to manage withdrawal symptoms as per guidelines
- Activities include admission and discharge, maintain case notes as required
- Monitoring of participants and reviewing cases
About You
- Tertiary qualifications I Nursing
- Current AHPRA registration
- minimum 2 years experience and demonstrated competence in nursing in alcohol and other drugs nursing environment, including working with people with mental health conditions
- Demonstrated current knowledge of QLD guidelines and issues related to withdrawal management
- Clinical nursing and assessment skills
- Demonstrated competence in infection control procedures
- Demonstrated skills in triage, medical assessment, decision-making and providing appropriate nursing intervention
- Must have a QLD driver's licence
