NURSING, PRACTICAL INSTRUCTOR
Unlimited, Full-Time – MSCF Faculty
Anticipated Start Date: August 18, 2025
Minnesota North College – Rainy River Campus is seeking an unlimited, full-time (1.0 FTE) Nursing, Practical Instructor who is committed to excellence in teaching and learning; using active and experiential learning strategies; creating a student-centered environment; teaching students from a wide variety of backgrounds; and working collaboratively with colleagues to create a successful student learning environment. Nurse educators prepare students for their future role as professional caregivers.
Teaching courses include (but not limited to) Pharmacology I & II, Clinical I & II, Nursing Skills I & II, Integrated Practicum, Psychosocial Aspects of Nursing, Pharmacology, and Simulation Lab.
Work Location: Rainy River Campus, International Falls, MN
Salary Range: $52,586- $73,690/annually
Minimum Qualifications
Education Requirement
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing or a graduate degree in support of the field of nursing and/or education with a Bachelor's degree in Nursing if the graduate degree is not in Nursing.
Occupational Experience Requirement
- Two full-time years (or equivalent) of verified related paid work experience as a registered nurse at the professional level.
- As a registered nurse at the professional level, experientially qualified to accomplish the mission, goals, and expected student and faculty outcomes; including experiential preparation in the areas the faculty will teach.
Recency Requirement
- One year of this work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field.The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) postsecondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years.
Professional Requirement
- Current unencumbered licensure as a registered nurse (RN) with current registration in Minnesota.
- Other Requirement: Compliance with clinical affiliate policies for attending on-site clinical teaching assignments.
Teaching and Learning Competency Requirement
- All new faculty must complete the teaching and learning requirement during their probation period. See requirements here: Teaching and Learning Competency Requirement
Preferred Qualification
· Master’s degree with a major in nursing, nursing administration, nursing education, public health nursing, or a nursing clinical specialty or related.
· Teaching experience with a diverse learner population.
· A commitment to cultural diversity, inclusive teaching, and student success.
