Job Summary:
Location: Methodist Estabrook Cancer CenterAddress: 8303 Dodge Street, Omaha, NE
Work Schedule: This is a casual position. Casual employees work on an ‘as needed’ basis to meet the needs of the business. Work days/hours will often vary from week to week. Typical schedule will be between Monday - Friday, 8am-4pm. Occasional Weekend and post 5pm hours depending on need.
Provides administrative and outreach support to the Community Engagement and Health Promotion team. Supports planning, coordination, and implementation of community-based initiatives that align with the organization's strategic goals around health equity, cancer prevention, early detection, and public education.
Responsibilities:
Education
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master’s level degree program in Public Health, Social Work, Health Education, or a related field from an accredited university, required.

Experience
Community outreach, public health promotion, or related volunteer/internship experience preferred but not required.
Licenses/Certifications
None required.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work with diverse populations and build community trust.
Knowledge of community health principles and health disparities.
Comfortable with public speaking and facilitating group discussions.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Bilingual skills (e.g., Spanish, Arabic, etc.) a plus.
