Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
The RN Supervisor – House works under the direction of the department managers to coordinate the twenty-four hour delivery of optimal patient care to meet the requirements of accrediting and regulatory agencies. This individual will coordinate patient services between various areas of the hospital and adjust nursing staffing levels based on identified patient needs.

EDUCATION

Minimum Required: Diploma or degree in nursing.
Preferred/Optional: Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum Required: Three years’ experience in medical or nursing related field. Demonstrated leadership abilities. Written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred/Optional: Management or supervisor experience.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position. Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position.
Minimum Required:
- Current State of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or Nurse Compact License.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within one month of employment.
- Additional department-specific certifications, licenses, or memberships may be required (varies by department/location).
- For Rice Lake & Minocqua Hospitals:
- Possession of a valid motor vehicle operator's license as verified through appropriate licensing agency. Must meet the driving requirements and criteria acceptable to MCHS's insurer.
Preferred/Optional:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) at time of hire.
- Infant Care Units: Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification.
