Join the MercyOne Family! We are looking to hire a CT Tech.

As a CT Tech at MercyOne, you will be Under general supervision, performs radiologic procedures in the CT area.  The age of the patients served range from infants to geriatrics. Customers include: patient, family/visitors, co-workers/volunteers, nurses, physicians, and vendors, as well as, regulatory commissioning agents.

• Produces quality CT images by utilizing adequate positioning skills and technical factors, as well as, is knowledgeable of anatomical structures pertinent to the patient population of infants to geriatrics.  Sends images to PACS for interpretation.
• Informs patients of examinations being performed and obtains consent to perform procedure.
• Transports patients to and from Radiology as needed.
• Assists the Radiologist in the administration of contrast material.
• Practices proper radiation protection techniques in accordance with prescribed safety standards in regard to self, patients, when ionizing radiation is present.

Education:

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
• Possess a current permit to practice diagnostic radiography for the Iowa Department of Public Health.
• Minimum of one-year clinical experience in general diagnostic radiology preferred
