Purpose
We are looking for an intern in our DBS Business and Control team, within the COO Department.

During your internship, you will receive guidance and training in all technical aspects of our business and work alongside colleagues of the first line and second line of Defense, including investment managers, relationship managers, compliance and colleagues from other functions.

In addition, you will need strong communication and presentation skills, a high level of motivation, a fascination for finance plus a collaborative approach to working.
Proficiency in Excel (specifically Pivot Table and use of formulas) is a prerequisite for the role.
Key areas
- Prepare Key Risk Indicators/MIS and other risk reportings to senior management. Part of the 1st Line of Defense team Non financial risk - for DBS Wealth management
- Centre of excellence for answering data related queries (including from regulators)
- Help to Design, document and support implementation of controls to strengthen and continuously improve the control environment
- Assess effectiveness of executed controls
Key Targets & Objectives of Role
- The team design, support and implement controls to strengthen and continuously improve the control environment.
- Coordination with other control functions (e.g. Compliance), in particular 2nd Line of Defense units, to implement control standards and relevant framework and processes.
- Educate Front Office on all non-financial risk matters
- Present to senior management control reviews
Required Profile
- Fluent in English, French is a plus
- IT highly literate and excellent working knowledge of MS Excel including management of Pivot table. Visual Basic a plus.
- Knowledge of Swiss Private Banking and corresponding regulatory requirements, as well as a good understanding of Banking processes, Internal Control System and risk management.
- Avaloq knowledge is a plus
