Our Float Pool team is a group of employees who are specially trained and readily available to seamlessly assimilate and stabilize clinical operations within our practices. We cover gaps due to unexpected callouts, long-term leaves, planned vacations, staffing vacancies, etc. This is a unique opportunity to work autonomously to the top of your education/certification while also functioning as part of a collaborative team. The ideal candidate profile is an adaptable RN who is confident in their clinical abilities and genuinely enjoys variety.
We do our best to keep all employees with their preferred geographic regions/specialty areas; however, float pool employees must be able and willing to commute to any of our locations during orientation (for training/precepting purposes) or during times of fluctuating staffing shortages (for cross-coverage purposes).
Job Summary
We are seeking a per diem RN to pick up a minimum of 2 – 8-hour shifts a month from 8:00am-5:30pm. We can be flexible on exact days based on employee availability. In this role, you would be expected to cover and travel to various practices across the South Shore.Towns/cities include:
• South Weymouth
• Braintree
• Hingham
• Scituate
• Pembroke
• Duxbury
• Buzzards Bay
Responsibilities for the Float Pool RN include phone triage, handle patient interactions via telephone, provide advice in accordance with clinical protocols, and coordinate proper disposition. Calls are related to patient concerns, appointments, pre and post procedures, urgent care, inpatient admissions, prescription refills, and test results. In addition, this nurse is expected to also be hands on with patients including performing injections, IV infusions, vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy draws, patient education and medication administration
