Performs all aspects and modalities of critical care nursing to all health system patients and visitors per rapid response guidelines. Responds to resuscitative responsibilities and other emergencies as needed. Maintains and completes documentation in patient’s charts and departmental records. Provides educational experience and maintains data entry.Three years critical care experience preferred and/or Emergency room experience required. CCRN and or CEN required. One year of leadership experience preferred. ACLS and PALS certification required. ACLS and PALS instructor certification preferred. Competent in using Microsoft Office (Excel and Word). Must have an understanding of medical terminology and current critical care nursing modalities. Must have the ability to react calmly and maintain composure in stressful situations and when dealing with co-workers, patients, and hospital guests. Is knowledgeable of the psychosocial and physiological development and spiritual needs of infants, children, adolescents, and all adult age groups (per Erickson’s Model) in order to provide appropriate care and intervention, either personally or through staff.Speech and auditory acuity for communication of patient needs. Visual acuity for observation of patients. Much standing, walking, bending and lifting.
