• Investment Bank: Origination & Advisory

Origination & Advisory provides strategic advice and capital markets products that help clients build their businesses. To put it another way, they link companies that need money with investors that can provide it.

On behalf of its client, the bank will issue debt or shares, and sell it on the global market to pension funds, mutual funds, hedge funds and private individuals. The money this raises can then be used to fund the client’s growth.

• Investment Bank: Fixed Income & Currencies

At Deutsche Bank, roles in our Fixed Income & Currencies (FIC) business can largely be broken down into four areas: Sales, Trading, Structuring and Financing.

Although this is just one part of a bank’s work, it is where a lot of its commercial activities take place. In simple terms, traders buy and sell products like debt (bonds) and commodities (like oil and natural gas) and execute foreign exchange deals to make an incremental profit and/or hedge risk.

Sales, Trading, Structuring and Financing encompass the following asset classes: Interest Rates, Foreign Exchange (FX), Credit and Emerging Markets.

Your key responsibilities and required skills

• Looking for candidate with strong interest in Investment Bank – either O&A or FIC sector. Ideal candidate should be a fast learner, attending to details, good with numbers.
• Require candidate to be able to communicate well with the team, able to commit to work in terms of full attendance as agreed, and able to stay focused

O&A related:

• Working on our day-to-day business as well as on special projects, you will contribute to the innovation of new ideas to help our customers achieve their financial goals.
• You will gain experience in different areas of our business and discover our market-leading solutions firsthand.
• Tasks may include credit research, preparing industry and market analyses for pitches, or getting involved in the execution of live deals.

FIC related:

• Offer great exposure to how sales and trading work during market movements, with open environment that encourages discussions
• Daily tasks involve data collection/maintenance of trading activities, market movements, DB’s pitch books/marketing materials
• Assist team member in ad-hoc projects, fact finding, market research, documentation, KYC related task, and etc.
• Administrative work including record keeping, data mining/analysis, liaise with back office and reconcile trade status as and when needed
