Job Summary:  

The Inventory Management System will be designed to manage and track mobile phones ordered as spares, used mobile phones returned to the department for recycling or auction, and phone inventory tracking. The primary goal is to build a web-based application on a city server that allows telecom employees and supervisors to:

Track bulk mobile phones ordered as spares. Monitors used mobile phones and wireless equipment returned by city agencies for recycling or public auction. Maintain a comprehensive inventory of all mobile equipment by model, including quantity in stock. Track mobile phones advertised in public auctions. Provide a dashboard for quick insights and a reporting system for detailed views of phone inventory and usage.

Essential Functions:

Project planning and design Database implementation and backend development Frontend development - dashboard and basic user interface Used mobile equipment tracking, recycling and auction Reporting system and notification Testing debugging and final deployment.

Minimum Qualifications:        

Education:

Required:

Junior or senior college students who have acquired foundational knowledge and hands on experience in relevant technologies such as software development, database design with exposure in full stack development, front and back end.

Preferred:

Senior year students with experience in handling complex projects, including front end backend development, database design, and building complex dashboards.

Licenses, Registrations, and Certificates

N/A.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • College majors in computer science, software engineering, information systems, information technology, business analytics/business information systems
  • Project skills in HTML/CSS/JavaScript, error handling and validation, Microsoft applications, data Visualization, reporting ability, csv, pdf, excel/csv export, project management and soft skills.
  • Coursework in database systems, web development, software engineering, object-oriented programming, data structures and algorithms, software testing and quality assurance, database management, data analysis and reporting.
