What you’ll do at Elekta

As a Junior Controller - Intern, you will be part of our Finance Department, directly supporting the Business Control team in Agrate Brianza with financial reporting, expense control, and internal compliance activities.

You will report to the Business Controller South Europe and work closely with the Chief Accountant (both based locally) and other Finance colleagues across Europe. Although your primary focus will be on financial controlling activities in Italy, the role also involves collaboration with international teams, giving you valuable exposure to a multinational business environment. This position offers practical experience in core finance processes within a fast-paced and supportive team setting.

The role is a 6-month full-time position.

Responsibilities

As a Junior Controller Intern, you will contribute to essential finance operations and compliance tasks that support the business.

  • Assist the team with monthly closings in line with IFRS requirements.
  • Prepare supplier payments and maintain accurate documentation flow.
  • Monitor customer receivables and support cash collection activities, including invoicing and reminder communications.
  • Carry out internal control tasks related to the Accounts Receivable (AR) process.
  • Monitor general expenses and highlight variances against the budget.
  • Participate in financial forecasting using Adaptive Insights.
  • Support the Chief Accountant with statutory reporting and preparation of tax documentation.

What you’ll bring

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Accounting and Auditing, Business Administration with a focus on financial management, or a related field. Students currently enrolled are welcome to apply.
  • Strong attention to detail and a reliable, structured working style.
  • Eagerness to develop professionally in a dynamic, international environment.
  • Ability to work independently while being a strong team player.
  • Solid skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Good command of written and spoken English; professional proficiency in Italian.
  • Basic knowledge of ERP systems is a plus (we use M3 Infor).
