About the role

  • We are seeking suitably qualified Registered Nurses motivated for a position in education leadership and support, to apply for the Scrub Scout Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) position.

  • The CNE is responsible for enhancing skills and knowledge by providing education that is based on current best practices.

  • This includes planning, coordinating, delivering, implementing, and evaluating clinical education needs, both at the unit level, as well as assisting with educational requirements across the organization.

  • As a CNE, you will report to the L&D Manager and be part of the team of experienced CNEs at St Vincent’s Private Hospital.

  • The required working days for this position are: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday. Please note an existing CNE position works Tuesdays, and this advertised position will share the role as part of a job-share arrangement.

About you

  • Recent extensive experience within perioperative services.

  • Hold relevant clinical and/or education post-graduate qualification/s (Masters level preferred).

  • Demonstrated knowledge of, and experience with, contemporary educational strategies, tools and approaches.

  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within the interdisciplinary team and demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development of self and others.
