The25-bedM43/M53 Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)provides medical/surgical, transplant-related, congenital heart and chemotherapy services to children of all ages. As an RN on this team, you willassistfellow caregivers in delivering exceptional care, frominitialintroduction to final send-off. In this role, you will interact directly with patients,familiesand visitors, offering the opportunity to help them feel comfortable,safeand secure throughout treatment.
A caregiver in this position works12 hours shifts| 7:00am—7:30pmor 7:00pm—7:30am.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Provide direct nursing care.
Implement, monitor, evaluate,updateand revise patient care plans.
Monitor, record, document and communicate patients’ conditions.
Administerprescribed medications and treatments.
Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
Assess andcoordinatepatients’ discharge needs.
Educate patients and their families.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing(Diploma,ADNor BSN program)
Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
One year of current Acute Care RN experience OR military RN experience
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)or American Red Cross
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Bachelor'sof Science in Nursing (BSN)
Pediatric ICU experience

Minimum hourly: $35.50
Maximum hourly: $55.60
